Fiona and Suse run a weekly Bible journalling group on Monday evenings from 6.30 – 8pm in the Shore Room at Peel Methodist Church. It is a relaxed, friendly evening, open to everyone regardless of crafting experience, age or ability. We gather in the Shore Room and have hot drinks and treats before settling down for a time of refection. We follow the lectionary and Fiona leads us in a quiet meditative refection on each week’s passage.
After that, we settle into some simple scrapbooking using a custom weekly printable. The idea is to think about which parts of the reading feel especially relevant or meaningful and create a simple page in a journal (or Bible), cutting and sticking in a prayerful way.
Each evening lasts an hour and a half and is a great time for existing relationships to deepen and for new ones to be created. It’s often easier to share when engaged in an activity and we hope that HolyScrap gatherings will be a place where we encounter God as we enjoy each other’s company.
We ask people to contribute £2 per session and bring along snacks and any craft supplies they may already have to share with the group
