The Isle of Man Victorian Society are presenting an illustrated talk which will be of interest to many, as it concerns the history of Primitive Methodism here on the island. Dave Martin will speak on Friday 24th April at 7:30pm in St Andrew's Church, Glencrutchery Road, Douglas.
His title is Thomas Burndred & Robert Teare , and is about Thomas who broke away from the Wesleyan's to form The Society of Primitive Methodists and Robert Teare who continued his work. This is a talk about the history rather than about their beliefs, and will tell about the history of Methodism on the island, Admission will be £4 on the door, includes tea & biscuits.
