Remembrance Sunday commemorations took place across the island recently.

We had a wonderful Royal British Legion Remembrance Service held at Peel Methodist Chapel on Sunday 12th November at 3:00 pm.
The ecumenical service was conducted by Revd Jo Smart and The Very Revd Nigel Godfrey along with Revd Joanna Fisher, Revd Mark Radcliffe and Rosemary Clark. The Peel Cathedral Choir led us and sung a beautiful anthem by John Ireland called "Greater Love" and the Castletown Metropolitan Silver Band provided fantastic accompaniment to the hymn singing.
The chapel was packed with commissioners, MHK's, members of our armed forces and RBL along with members of our community and congregations from both the chapel and the cathedral. The chapel was decorated with over 1000 knitted poppies which were displayed both inside and outside the chapel and were knitted by members of the communities in Peel and surrounding areas. Our grateful thanks is extended to all those who took part.
