We are delighted to bring to your attention a couple of events at Thie dy Vea, the Retreat House in Peel, which may be of interest. These are two workshops with Rev Richard Littledale (pictured), under the general title Developing the Art ofPreaching.

Friday 6th October 2023, 6.00 – 9.00 p.m.
“Help: Christmas is coming!” – a preacher’s toolkit
Join Richard for a generous buffet supper followed by an evening of ideas and inspiration to help you prepare for the advent season. Refreshments available from 5.30 p.m. Supper at 6.00 p.m.
Suggested minimum donation of £20 to include meal.

Saturday 7th October 2023, 10.00 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
A Preacher’s Reboot – remembering the basics and exploring the possibilities.
A day to inspire and encourage preachers in their ministry. Refreshments available from 9.30 a.m.
Suggested minimum donation of £25 to include a buffet lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Richard Littledale has been a Baptist Minister for 35 years and now devotes his time to writing, broadcasting and speaking. Richard served as a tutor of the College of Preachers for many years. He is the author of ‘The Preacher’s A to Z’ and ‘Stale Bread: the art of speaking the story’.
