Jen Casson – Lay worker
Jen began working for the Methodist Church in September 2021 as a lay pastoral assistant supporting the churches in the South of the Island. In September 2023, Jen became our Fulfil Pioneer leading our New Places for New People ministry on the island.
New Places for New People are new forms of church for people with questions about life and faith who struggle to connect with existing forms of church. Jen will also become our NPNP lead in September 2026. Through these roles Jen will work in partnership with the district NPNP team and Connexional NPNP team to support new communities as they begin on the island and to further develop the growth of the Fulfil communities.
Jen is passionate about advocating for, the Methodist Church’s commitment to being an inclusive, evangelistic and justice-seeking church. She also has a real heart for walking alongside low-income communities, and prioritising new forms of church amongst and led by people experiencing poverty.
