Sean came to the Island from the United States in 2020 and immediately began to enjoy living in a Covid-free environment. He entered ministry in the United Methodist Church in 1995. In 1996, he came to the UK to serve for one year and found that God has a sense of humour and stayed until 2010 – the 14th year of his 1-year appointment. He served in the Hackney Mission Circuit 1996-1997, Glasgow Circuit 1997-2002, York South Circuit 2002-2007, and the North of Scotland Mission Circuit 2007-2010. Upon returning home to North Carolina, he served three rural churches near Shelby 2010-2015 and then a single church north of Charlotte 2015-2020.
In 2019, God's sense of humour again showed itself and brought Sean back across the Big Pond where he now serves the churches in the south along with the lay team. He transferred to British Methodism in 1998, back to United Methodism in 2011, and is thus a United British United Methodist Minister currently serving in British Methodism.
Sean is looked after by Lee, his cousin who is an adult with Down's Syndrome, who has a full time job trying to keep him straight. Sean is looking forward to getting out and hiking the beauty of this Island and seeing what grand adventures God has in store for all of us together.
